Taxi driver further remanded

A fifty-four-year-old taxi driver who was found with 4.69 grams of hard drugs, namely methamphetamine, has been further remanded.

Peter Fong has been charged with one count of unlawful possession of illicit drugs.

Fong applied for bail but the presiding Magistrate was not available in court today, hence, his bail application has been denied.

Police arrested the accused on Friday following a raid at his home in Narere, which was conducted by the Southern Division operations team.

It’s alleged the accused was found discarding the white crystals confirmed to be methamphetamine.

The case will be recalled tomorrow.
