A Taxi driver has died following an early morning accident when the vehicle he was driving collided head-on with a bus carrying more than eighty passengers in Davuilevu, Nausori.
The victim believed to be in his mid 30’s died on the spot while his passenger who received serious injuries has been rushed to the hospital.
Waisake Vakalalakoro, an eye witness who was the first to arrive at the scene told FBC News some bus passengers including school students received minor injuries and have been rushed to the hospital.
The bus was travelling from Davuilevu heading towards Suva while the taxi – a Hybrid Prius was travelling towards Davuilevu when they collided.
Police are yet to release more details as investigation continues.
