Fulton Hogan Highways is continuing to work on the road in the South Coast and North Coast roads in Taveuni and so far stabilized and sealed 21,500 square meters of road in three weeks.

Construction manager of Fulton Hogan Highways, Scott Wilkinson says this was made possible with the help of 12 member construction crew and an eight-man sealing crew based in Vanualevu.

He says, this is their second visit to Taveuni by the Northern Construction and Sealing Crews, with the previous works being carried out in November last year, where they managed to repair 6,000 square meters of road.

Wilkinson says due to logistics involved in transporting large machinery and materials to the island, it is viable to repair Taveuni roads once a year

The works is expected to be completed in two months.
