The Agriculture Ministry has formed a special taskforce that is now looking into the cases of tuberculosis reported in the dairy industry.

Minister for Agriculture Inia Seruiratu says they are trying to control the disease so that the damage to the industry is minimal.

“It is unfortunate that it has come again this time but the government through the animal health production team together with all other stakeholders we have forced a taskforce we hope that we can address this quickly.”

The government has allocated a million dollars for tuberculosis awareness for the Ministry of Agriculture in the 2015 Budget.
