Take responsibility of your children: Akbar

Parents have been urged to be more vigilant and not to leave their children under the care of others.

Speaking to FBC News Minister for Social Welfare, Women and Poverty Alleviation Rosy Akbar says parents should take full responsibility of their children’s welfare.

Akbar says parents should also spend more time with their kids and monitor any change in behavior.

“Please do not leave your children under the care of strangers or others if we have who are doing such a deplorable act then as mother’s we need to be more vigilant and to be more protective of our children.”

Parental responsibility has been in the limelight after a twenty-nine-year-old man allegedly raped his seven month old baby in the interior of Nadi.
