Farmers living along the Korovou to Tavua corridor have been urged to take advantage of the new tax free initiative for the agriculture sector announced in the 2013 national budget.

There’ll be a 13-year tax holiday under the scheme for new investments in the agricultural sector and a 20-year tax holiday for people who set up new dairy farms in the region.

Agriculture Minister Colonel Inia Seruiratu says the region is rich in resources which should be fully utilized.
