President Jioji Konrote says Nadi town had and will continue to play a very important role as far as Fiji’s Tourism Industry is concerned.
His Excellency President Konrote made this comment while opening of the 2016 Digicel Bula Festival last night.
He says the jet set town is the main entry point for most of the international visitors and tourists who arrive into Fiji by air.
President Konrote says six months ago, Fiji suffered Severe Tropical Cyclone Winston but the people in Nadi through their hard work and commitment rebuilt their lives to ensure that Nadi remains a vibrant and friendly town.
Konrote says the Annual Bula Festival is an entire week of festivity, entertainment, competition, laughter and other events of interest and has urged the people of Nadi to take time off from busy schedules and enjoy themselves.
He thanked the organizing committee in ensuring that the people of Nadi continuously enjoy the festival despite the many challenges Fiji has faced.
Bula Festival has been held in Nadi since 1960.
