Tai Nicholas pleads guilty

The general secretary of Oceania Football Confederation, Tai Nicholas, has pleaded guilty to contempt of court.
The lawyer representing Nicholas appeared before the Judge Justice William Calanchini entered a guilty plea, on instructions from Nicholas.
Nicholas has been given 28 days to file his mitigation.
The Attorney-General had brought court proceedings against Nicholas, claiming that comments he made in November 2011 that there is no judiciary in Fiji scandalised the court and posed the risk of undermining public confidence in the Fijian judiciary and the administration of justice in Fiji.
The case has been adjourned to the 24th August 2012.
