Tagitagi Public School to be converted to technical college

Tagitagi Public School in Tavua will be converted to a technical college.

The proposal has been consented to by the School Management following a meeting with the Education Minister on Friday.

Dr Mahendra Reddy says the Technical College will provide an opportunity for those that cannot afford to travel to city areas to get proper qualifications.

He says the students will also be eligible for TELS so all they need to do is just enroll.

The Minister also advised the management that the Ministry will arrange the relocation of students in their school to Tagitagi Sangam School, a primary school adjacent to the school in Tavua.

School manager, Rajendra Singh says they are happy with the proposal and it will open doors for the children of Tavua to get better educational services.
