A family of six in Tacirua is now left homeless after their home was completely destroyed by landslide.

House Owner Meghra Wati says at around two this morning, parts of their house started to fall apart and they had to evacuate as soon as possible.

“Some visitors were at home and my husband was with them and around two to three this morning he woke us up to get up and we woke up and we saw that our house was started to fall apart and there was mud. So we went we went to one house at the top and stayed there till morning. We have no place to go now and our house is already destroyed and we can’t stay there anymore.”

The family has cleared out a few of their belongings and is now staying with nearby neighbors and close relatives.
