The Suva Private Hospital has maintained that their specialists are not on strike or protest.

Qumivutia says SPH is working with the Ministry of Health to recruit specialists from overseas to compliment the skills available in Fiji.

He says they are a private hospital and the services provided are dependent on specialists.

Last week FBC News reported that some operations at SPH were comprised as some specialists were not happy with their pay.

However SPH is negotiating with some of the specialists and hopes to have the issue resolved soon.
