Suva Private Hospital admits delays

The Suva Private Hospital has now admitted that some of its customers have been experiencing delays in their services in recent weeks.

SPH says this is due to them still negotiating contracts with its specialist doctors.

The hospital further adds that its medical center is no longer taking appointments due to the inability to recruit General Practitioners.

Meanwhile, the Consumer Council maintains that the public have been misled by SPH’s statements that they providing normal services and adds the current services as “far from normal.”

Council chief executive Premila Kumar says SPH should have come out publicly from the beginning to inform its paying customers that there would be disruptions.
