It is alleged that the accused abducted the complainant against the will of her mother between April 8th and 5th of this month.

In Court today, defense counsel submitted the accused’s suspension letter from the Education Ministry.

The State did not object to a bail application made by the defense counsel, that there was low interference with the complainant.

The Judge granted bail on the condition that the accused is to reside in Labasa with his father.

The state sought 21 days to file information and disclosures, the Judge has granted 28 days.

The defense counsel also informed the Court that despite an order being given last week for the accused to be taken to the hospital, this has not happened.

The Judge says since the accused is bailed, he can make a formal complaint with the Police on breach of a Court order.

The matter has been adjourned to July 22nd for a plea.
