Suspects arrested for defilement in Kadavu

Youths from a village in Kadavu have been arrested for allegedly defiling young school children.

Police says the victims are both young girls and boys.

They have also confirmed to FBC News that the suspects are being held at Vunisea Police station.

The youths are from a village from the tikina of Yale, the district where marijuana raids have recently been made.

The suspects will be brought to Suva this week.

Police say there may be other unreported cases like this in Kadavu, the effects of marijuana consumption on the island.
