There are more young local artists joining the music industry and it’s important they are given the right platform to showcase their talents.
This was highlighted by Procera Music Managing Director Mohammed Akif today while speaking on the Music awards night which will be held tomorrow.
He says there will be 18 awards given out to local artists during the event in Holiday Inn, Suva.
“They are a lot of young artists who are coming to our studio to record. Music industry in Fiji i would say is still struggling at the moment because of the copy write and the new technology which has just come in now so it’s very hard to run a music industry that’s why we always go for sponsors to support us.”
Procera Music says this is to recognize the emerging talents of many people and to also highlight the development of the music industry.
