Supervise children at all times: NFA

April 30, 2012 10:00 pm

The National Fire Authority is urging parents to take extra care of their children during the school holidays.

Chief executive John O’Connor says parents should talk to their children and ensure that they do not engage in activities which can cause a fire.

He says it is also important to ensure that children know what to do in case there is a fire.

O’Connor says out of the twenty-four structural fires so far this year, three children lost their lives.

In the last three years, six children have lost their lives while two children sustained serious burns due to home fires.
