Family disputes, love affairs and relationships going wrong are becoming the major causes for the rise in suicide and attempted suicide cases.

Police say they continue to receive more reports despite an increase in awareness and warnings.

Yesterday alone four suicide cases were reported to police.

The youngest person to commit suicide was a 15-year-old form 4 student while the eldest was a 67-year-old.

Police have recorded 39 suicide and 48 attempted suicide cases so far this year.
