The total sugar crushed and produced from all the four sugar mills in the country since the beginning of the 2015 season is 796,886 tonnes and 93,435 tonnes.

Prime Minister and Minister for Sugar Industry Voreqe Bainimarama stood in Parliament today to answer questions posed by Opposition member Biman Prasad.

He adds that the performance of the Fiji Sugar Corporation is on par.
Lautoka mill crush 182,000 and 182,851 tonnes, sugar produced being 21,873 tonnes.

The Rarawai mill has crushed 215,276 tonnes, produced 25,132 tonnes of sugar and at the Labasa Mill has crushed 321,023 tonnes, sugar produced 38,310 tonnes.

The Penang mill has crushed 77,736 tonnes of cane and produced 8,120 tonnes of sugar.
