Sugar Cane Growers Fund, engaged in lending activities for the cane farmers will waive a $10 application fee for any loan applications relating to drought assistance.

Chief Executive Officer, Raj Sharma says loans for water pumps, pipes, borehole, water tanks and basement sought by farmers, will have application fee waived.

Sharma says the Fund has been receiving applications from the farmers.

He says they are looking at streamlining the process for such applications and give priority in funding within two days or so.

Farmers intending to apply for the loan are requested to call their nearest District office.

The Fund has offices in Nadi, Lautoka, Ba, Tavua, Rakiraki, Labasa and Seaqaqa.
