Police have been instructed to stop buses and vehicles that are seen with students waving flags.

Police spokesperson Ana Naisoro says the practice of waving flags from buses and other vehicles is against the law and is a danger not only to students but also to other passengers and motorists as well.

Students are once again reminded to refrain from carrying out such actions and police have been told to confiscate flags on the spot.

All motorists transporting students are also being asked to assist police officers in monitoring and policing of these incidents.
