Students taught child rights

In the lead up to The World Day against Child Labour next week, a group of children are being taught their rights.
Save the Children is running a program which aims to upskill and empower children.
Students of Marist Brother’s High School and St Joseph Secodary are part of the awareness programme.
Its hoped at the end of the programme, they will be in a better position to decide what work is okay for them and what isn’t.
The fear is, child labour can lead to children being exploited pysically and psychologically.
So far this NGO has helped children in the worst forms of child labour by putting them in schools and counselling.
