Students Parliament engages students

Fifty-one high school students from the central division took part in a student parliament debate in Suva today.

Adi Cakobau School Head Girl, Salote Veisamasama says participating in the student parliament makes them realize the responsibility of becoming a member of parliament.

‘’To get first hand experience of what really happens in parliament it was very exciting, really interesting for us we got to know more broaden our knowledge more on what parts the Ministers play and how important their roles are’’.

Speaker of Parliament Dr Jiko Luveni says Student Parliament is created to enable students to debate about everyday issues that concern them.
