The 15-year-old boy who was swept away at the Nasilai beach in Kiuva yesterday has been found.

Police Spokesperson Ana Naisoro has confirmed his body was discovered by a man from Vadrai Village in Nakelo at around 6am this morning.

The boy had gone swimming with his older brother at the beach when the incident occurred after 1pm.

The victim’s body is being kept at the Wainibokasi mortuary.

Police are advising the public to adhere to the safety advisories being issued with the current weather warnings in place.

Parents and guardians need to closely monitor their children as this is not a time to be playing in flooded areas.
