Over fifty students from various primary schools in the four divisions were awarded by the Education Ministry for their participation in the National Poster Competition yesterday.

The competition was held in conjunction with the Reserve Bank of Fiji in an effort to raise awareness on financial literacy.

Education Minister, Dr. Mahendra Reddy says the objective of the initiative is to raise awareness and understanding of savings and investment opportunities in Fiji.

Dr Reddy says over two thousand students from one hundred and fifty schools participated in the competition which means these many students have learnt a bit about financial literacy through their art work.

Winners received $75 cash prize with $75 worth of investment prize each.
