Strong winds continue to be felt in the village of Nukuni in Ono –i-Lau.

Sixty students on the island have been advised to stay home today as school will remain closed.

Manager of Onolevu District School, Solomoni Colati says they have been advised to remain on alert until the all clear is given by the authorities.

Colati says waves just of the island also look rough and no one is being allowed out into the ocean for fishing or any form of travel.
