A strong wind warning that was previously in place for Yasawa’s and Mamanuca Group via Viti Levu is now cancelled, however this remains for Southern Lau, Kadavu, nearby islands, Lau and Lomaiviti group.
Director Meteorological Services Ravin Kumar says overnight heavy rain have eased over Viti Levu and improvement in weather is expected from the West throughout today.
”Meanwhile the tropical disturbances that was located on North of Vanuatu has started to weaken, we’ll see throughout today rain easing over the northern and eastern parts of the country and the occasional showers that is going to be prevalent elsewhere will also be easing out through today.”
The active low pressure is still to the Eastern and Northern part of the country and isolated heavy falls may be still possible in some areas.
