“There will be areas where we do tests on the lighting system. We have replaced the lamps and then we will be doing tests. There are also areas where the street lights are too old and we will be changing those to new LED lights. So there is a change, there will be time to install street lights that are not working.”

Moore says the FRA will also be replacing old lamp posts and lights in all urban areas around the country.

He says they are also working with Energy Fiji Limited so that the existing electric poles can be used to install more lights which will help save money as well.
