Investment Fiji is still working on stream lining processes for foreign investors wanting to set up shop in Fiji.
Chief Executive Godo Mueller-Tuet says the dream of a one stop shop for depends on a number of factors.
He says talks are underway with various government agencies to bring the registration process for foreign investors under one umbrella.
“Foreign investors can obtain a license – a registration license. Of course after that various other legal requirements have to be fulfilled – a resident director has to be employed and a business license will need to be issued."
Sometimes there are delays in this particular process so we are working with a number of other government agencies to extend and expand the registration process.”
The CEO says Investment Fiji is focussing on 4 key areas for new investors, innovation, value adding, excellent levels of service for investors and greater degree of social responsibility by companies.
