Stop undermining PIDF: PM

September 2, 2015 2:49 am

Prime Minister Voreqe Bainimarama has called on Australia and New Zealand to stop lobbying against the Pacific Island Development Forum.

Bainimarama explained that the PIDF was established as a complementary organisation because they felt the voices of all pacific islanders are not being heard.

He says the island nations need to have dialogue freely, without influence from the larger powers who are not Pacific Small Island Developing States and whose interests are not always their own.
