The Fiji Sugar Corporation is concerned with the politicization of the sugar industry by some.
FSC says some individuals are talking without facts and giving false information to their communities.
Chief operating officer, Navin Chandra says these remarks are mainly made by members of the communities who want to politicize the industry.
Chandra claims for decades the industry has been politicized, creating further division.
“The farmers know that the only opportunity the industry has to take it forward is to work together. We are making every effort to work with the growers. We have a platform that Government has provided in terms of the assistance that is provided to the growers.”
Chandra says the industry needs constructive contribution to take it forward.
