Nata says since 1984 lease money were distributed amongst every Mataqali and Yavusa while some money was invested by the government through TLTB to assist the landowners.

Referring to the catchment lease money of $50million that was paid out to landowners, Nata said some of the money was shared to landowners while a portion is with Fa according to the court ruling.

Nata says this money can be given to TLTB as there is a clause in the court ruling that states the funds can be transferred after two years but at the consent of the landowners.

Nata told the landowners that they have tried to get signatures from the Monasavu Landowners to change the way in which the catchment money is being distributed, however they were unable get the number of signatures needed, with only thirty percent of the total landowners signing off.

Questions sent to Lawyer – Sireli Fa have yet to be answered.
