A 52-year-old man of Nabua, charged with indecent assault involving his step-daughter, has been remanded in custody.

The alleged offence took place last month when the 14-year-old girl came out of shower.

The man applied for bail on the grounds that he is the breadwinner in the family and is also supporting the victim’s education.

His request for bail was rejected by the Suva Magistrates Court.
