The State House is the first official facility to be fitted with the Disability Access Electronic Chair.
The President, Major-General (ret’d) Jioji Konrote launched the disability friendly device which he says is aligned to the 2013 Constitution.
Konrote says Section 42 of the Constitution a person with any disability has the right to reasonable access to all places, public transport and information.
The facility cost $98,000 and Konrote says it will make visits to the State House more convenient for members of the community who are less fortunate.
