The South Pacific Tourism Exchange (SPTE) 2016 will be held in Gold Coast in Australia.

The South Pacific Tourism Organisation decided to hold the annual tourism expo up north after hosting a successful SPTE 2015 at the Melbourne Convention Centre in Australia this year.

SPTO chief executive Ilisoni Vuidreketi says members and stakeholders held discussions and they decided to choose the Gold Coast as host city for 2016.

Vuidreketi says the decision was based on a number of factors including the 2016 Australian Tourism Exchange (ATE) also being hosted at the Gold Coast.

SPTE will be held on May 20th and 21st next year.
