Speeding a major concern: Mishra

Speeding continue to be the major contributor to the road death toll and road accidents.

Police Director Traffic, Senior Superintendent, Mahesh Mishra says over the eleven months of this year, fifty nine death were recorded on our roads.

He adds accidents are usually common during festive seasons as drivers tend to become careless.

“Speeding is the major cause of the 59 death that occurred this year, the second major cause was drink and drive, third is in relation to driver attitude, careless and dangerous driving and another concern is the pedestrians attitude and supervision of children.”

The road death toll currently stands at 59 compared to 60 for the same period last year.
