The Sugar Industry Stakeholders appointed a three member special team to speed up the repair works of all cane access roads in the sugar belt areas.

Council Acting chief executive Sundresh Chetty has been appointed along with Seru Vularika to look after this area.

Chetty says that the remaining $1.5m grant from the government will be used for cane access road maintenance.
