The Speaker of the House, Dr. Jiko Luveni is expected to be in the North this week as part of the “Meet the Speaker programme”.

The programme allows the Speaker to engage with the community and explain her role in Parliament as well as answer to questions from members of the public.

Today the parliament secretariat are in Bua and tomorrow Dr. Jiko will join them at a number of locations over the next couple of days including Lekutu Secondary School, Naikavaki College and Bua Lomanikoro.

The Parliament team expects to visit Savusavu Secondary school, Vaturova Secondary school and Savudrodro village on Friday.

The awareness programme aims to inform the community about the functions of Parliament by taking Parliament to them.
