Solomon Islands Prime Minister Manasseh Sogavare made a special visit to the Fiji Broadcasting Corporation in Suva yesterday.
Sogavare who is also Minister for Broadcast says his government at looking at developing the media in the Solomon Islands.
Sogavare says judging from what he saw, Fiji is way ahead in the Pacific in terms of media set up and technology.
“Fiji has gone a long way and advance in this matter and that’s the way to go and country’s like Solomon Islands can learn a lot from the experience that Fiji has and can improve from there.”
The Prime Minister was particularly interested in the establishment of FBC TV.
FBC TV Operations Manager, Vinal Raj says the visit was a significant one for the company.
Sogavare is in the country attending the third pacific islands development forum meeting.
