The first contingent of Fijian Peacekeepers based in Sinai is expected to return to the country on Thursday of this week.

Lands Force Commander Lieutenant Colonel Sitiveni Qiliho has confirmed to FBC News that the first group of 35 soldiers is expected in on the 9th of April with a second contingent also of 35 soldiers expected later in the month, on the 23rd.

Colonel Qiliho says the personnel have been be away for a year in Sinai and fresh recruits have already been deployed to ensure effective hand-over of the mission.
