SODELPA Leader Sitiveni Rabuka

The Social Democratic Liberal Party has confirmed they will file their legal appeal today to challenge the outcome of the 2018 General Election.

The party has confirmed to FBC News that they are currently working with their lawyers to try and file the appeal before the 21 days of appeal period ends on Monday.

SODELPA Leader Sitiveni Rabuka had earlier told FBC News that they have gathered strong evidence to complement their legal appeal.

According to the party, it is still not clear on whether the National Federation Party will come forward and file a joint petition with them.

Both party leaders had earlier stated they will only accept the outcome of the General Election if it’s proven that it was carried out in a transparent manner.
