Opposition Leader Ro Teimumu Kepa has assured members and supporters that the party is stable and it is here for the long haul.

In a statement issued yesterday afternoon, Ro Teimumu said it is unfortunate that SODELPA MP Mosese Bulitavu has chosen to criticize her leadership and smear her and other officials.

She says any attempts to create a wedge between her and Part President – theTui Cakau, Ratu Naiqama Lalabalavu will not succeed.

The statement says that two grievances are currently lodged with the Management Board of the party.

One is from Bulitavu and the members who co-signed his complaint.

The other is from the Opposition Principal Administrative Officer, Mick Beddoes.

Ro Teimumu says she will not comment on the specifics involved and will let the Management Board follow the disciplinary procedures as laid down in the party’s Constitution.

She adds that Bulitavu’s threat to resign by today is a matter for him adding that under the current electoral system, any resignation by a Member of Parliament does not result in a by-election.

In the meantime, she is asking supporters and members to be patient and allow the Management Board carry out its responsibilities in this matter.
