The Social Democratic Liberal Party is now the second party to submit their nominations.
This comes after the party resubmitted their nominations to the Fijian Elections Office.
On Tuesday afternoon the party submitted their nominations but failed to meet a requirement by the FEO.
However, Supervisor of Elections Mohammed Saneem says the party has now fulfilled all the requirements.
“The nominations we received today are now in order as per the requirements of the law and now will be processed as per the electoral act and we will be carrying out verification’s and we will respond to SODELPA within the next 48 hours.”
SODELPA General Secretary Adi Litia Qionibaravi says they expect a response from the FEO by tomorrow afternoon and is confident that everything will go well.
