The Social Democratic Liberal Party leader is calling on his supporters to move away from being an i-Taukei oriented party.
Leader, Sitiveni Rabuka says it’s high time the party considers the ambitions of other ethnicities.
Rabuka adds SODELPA will have to focus on a variety of issues if they have any chance of forming the next government.
He says to win votes by campaigning on indigenous rights is a hard task.
The Leader also says the i-Taukei population needs to take their culture and traditions seriously.
He says the party can’t afford to campaign for indigenous rights when the i-Taukei’s are less concerned about these issues.
The SODELPA leader says it is vital for the indigenous people to know the importance of owning their land, qoliqoli and preserving their rights.
