This means the party will have to find another replacement and submit the name before midday tomorrow.

Supervisor of Elections, Mohammed Saneem says they have given letters to both SODELPA and National Federation Party, informing them of the approval of their nominations.

When FBC News contacted NFP, the party says they will not reveal anything as yet.

Saneem earlier told FBC News that they will hand a letter to the Fiji Labour Party today also to inform them on the approval of the nominations.

So far, FijiFirst and SODELPA are the only two parties that have 50 confirmed candidates.

FijiFirst General Secretary Aiyaz Sayed-Khaiyum says they already have someone in mind to replace former provisional candidate, Naziah Ali.

All political parties have until tomorrow midday to file their nominations with the Fijian Elections Office.

The Supervisor of Elections has reiterated they will not accept any late nominations.
