The Social Democratic Liberal Party is aiming to assist 1,000 students in TC Yasa affected communities.

Party Leader Viliame Gavoka says while visiting Vanua Levu post TC Yasa, they received more feedback on the need to assist children return to school.

Gavoka says with a lot of organizations assisting those affected, they will ensure there is no duplication.

He says they are already raising funds.

The SODELPA Leader says the SODELPA Youth in Nadroga and Navosa are doing curry nights to raise funds.

He also says overseas supporters have also indicated support towards this effort.
