The Social Welfare Department has clarified that all Fijians under the Social Welfare Scheme are included in the insurance premium paid by the government.

Director, Rupeni Fatiaki says some have questioned the Department following rumours that only social pension scheme recipients are covered in the insurance.

Fatiaki says the insurance include those under the social pension scheme, poverty benefit scheme, care and protection allowance, and those receiving the disability allowance.
