Police have managed to identify the suspect involved in a rape in Sigatoka two weeks ago.

The incident occurred at a hotel along the Coral Coast on Friday morning where a 22 year old woman was expected to meet a man she had been dating through Facebook since May.

Upon arriving at the location she discovered the man waiting for her did not fit the description of whom she had been liaising.

The victim was then threatened and raped by the suspect.

Police Spokesperson Ana Naisoro confirms investigations are on-going and they have yet to make an arrest.
