Fiji Airways has maintained above industry standards targets, reporting an on-time performance of 86.49% last month.
Its OTP was 89.95% in September and 84.7% in August.
Outgoing Group Managing Director and chief executive Stefan Pichler says he was pleased at the performance, adding the airline will continue its focus of maintaining OTP above 80%.
Pichler says they had minor mechanical issues with a couple of Boeing 737 aircraft along with operational-related factors which contributed to some disruptions.
However he says the national carrier is tracking at an average of 83.05% for the past ten months.
Fiji Link continued their above 90% performance this year, with a 91.66% OTP, compared to 94.52% in September, and 96.1% in August.
Key factors affecting Fiji Link’s October performances were weather conditions primarily in Nausori and Labasa, and two unscheduled maintenance on its aircraft.
