Skydive Fiji was not directed by the Civil Aviation Authority of Fiji to ground its plane says owner Tim Joyce.
Speaking to FBC News, Joyce says they had notified CAAF that they will be grounding its aircraft for precautionary measures following a fatal crash in Sweden last weekend which involved a similar aircraft.
A GippsAero GA8 aircraft crashed in Northern Sweden this month which killed nine people on a skydiving trip.
