Road work has begun on six sites in the Central Division under the Suva Arterial Road Upgrading Project 2.
The Fiji Roads Authority says the SARUP 2 project aims to provide a better traffic flow in the heart of the Capital City.
Chief Executive Jonathan Moore says the roadwork will be carried out in a way that can also increase the lifespan for these roads once completed.

17 roads will be resurfaced and will have a 25-year life span.
New utilities such as footpaths and streetlights will also be upgraded.
The project is expected to finish by 2021.
